General Rules & Regulations for Students/Parents

''Education is leading not only how to succeed in life and make money or hold positions, but also, how to fail and stand up again. Education is also having the courage and strength to walk on the path of truth, humility and hard work which I am trying to follow.''

  • Students must come in neat & tidy, well ironed uniform with a proper haircut, oiled & well combed hair & trimmed nails.
  • Students should not wear any jewelry or wrist watch & should not bring valuable items to the school. The school or any its students will not be responsible for the loss of any such thing.
  • Student are strictly prohibited from bringing mobile phone in the class or in the school campus. If found it will be confiscated and disciplinary action will be taken.
  • Physical Education and Games are a compulsory part of the curriculum.
  • Parents are requested to check the school diary and J.H. Poddar School's Mobile application regularly and to personally acknowledge the notice, receipt of circulars.
  • Ragging & Bullying IN ANY FORM will not be tolerated.
  • Students are expected to maintain discipline in the school. By following the above rules.

Leave of Absence

  • A Student cannot leave the school premises during the working hours of the school without the permission of the principal.
  • In the case of sickness, intimation must be given to the office immediately. Absence over three days requires a fitness and medical certificate.
  • The Principal reserves the right to refuse leave of absence for festivals, weddings and other ceremonies at home if it interferes with the student's work in school or hampers the school discipline.
  • The date of opening and closing of the school must be strictly observed.
  • Weekly Assessment, Tests and Examinations.
  • Tests will be conducted every month according to the scheduled timetable.
  • The average marks of the monthly tests, Half-yearly and final examination will be considered for promotion.
  • Cheating in an examination may result in either a Zero in the Subject or if repeated, dismissal from the school.

Fees

  • Fees once paid will not be refundable in any circumstance.
  • Students should pay their monthly fees between 1st & 15th of every month.
  • A student paying fees by cheque should take care that the cheque does not bounce else a penalty will be charged as per the rules of the bank.
  • Apart from over the counter payments, fees can be paid through the School App, Bank transfer etc.
